The Dornier Do 26 sometimes called “the most beautiful seaplane ever built”. The wings had a seagull wing configuration, the outer sections being equipped with stabilizing floats fully retractable into the canopy. The rear engines (pushers) could be raised 10 upwards during takeoff and landing, to avoid any contact between the three-bladed propeller and the water spray created by the front propellers.
