Helio – Automatic Sun & Sky Lighting

Helio is a Blender add-on for automatic lighting of 3D scenes based on real-world GPS coordinates, date, and time. It calculates the Sun's position using the NOAA Solar Calculator algorithm and applies the result to the Sky Texture and Sun light object, including color temperature and intensity.

Designed for architectural visualization, exterior rendering, and any scene where physically accurate sunlight is required.

Automatic color temperature (CCT) based on solar elevation
Automatic sun intensity based on Kasten's Air Mass formula with altitude correction
Atmospheric refraction correction for accurate sunrise and sunset
Sky Texture setup with Multiple Scattering or Single Scattering model
Five environment presets affecting atmospheric parameters
North offset indicator with viewport overlay
Automatic UTC offset detection from GPS coordinates (with manual override)
Animation baking with configurable time range, step, and interpolation

安装方法

打开 Blender「编辑 → 偏好设置 → 获取扩展（Get Extensions）」，搜索 Helio，可直接从官方库安装。
手动安装时，选择适合当前 Blender 版本与系统的 ZIP 包，在「获取扩展」右上角菜单选择「从磁盘安装（Install from Disk）」，选中 ZIP 文件，无需解压。
安装后，在偏好设置的「插件（Add-ons）」中确认已启用，并按作者说明使用。
