This energy weapon was blended for the 46th still competition at Blender.fi titled “The Wonders of the 50s” (http://www.blender-fi.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=265). It is is a MASER rifle instead of a LASER rifle as it was in 1953 when the physicist Charles H. Townes and his colleagues built one of the first masers . It’s a bit rough at edges and is somewhat hard-coded in regards to getting the illumination correct, but hopefully it will be of some use. It’s high polygon, and not optimized. I’m submitting this as I recently downloaded the Shipyard 0.7 and wanted to give something back. Originally I had a texture on the floor, but Blend Swap unfortunately doesn’t allow CG Textures, so I removed it. For faster rendering disable raytracing.

Layer 2 has a basic table
Layer 3 has some lights
