This simple setup provide a super clean shadows projected into a pure white environment. Please note that the main plane have no cycle-material (only a white color as the background) and it is set into activated second layer. So, when you start your render, you save a lot of time because the background not have any solids. The sun+hemi provide a super detailed gradient shadow projected to the main plane.
This setup is perfect for your motion graphics, still lifes, or title animations. Superfast and editable, made in blender 2.79 release candidate. Feel free to use for your commercial project, but remember a mention. Enjoy.
